Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre, home to the Max Waters Collection of paintings by influential Australian artists.

MUSWELLBROOK HERITAGE WALK, 4.5 kms long, old buildings dating back to the mid-1800s, grand residences, community precincts – testimony to the good times and hard times.

DENMAN

CAMEL FARM TOURS – Learn about the history of Australia and why camels are here. Be treated with a tour of the property covering how the camels are milk and how camel milk makes it way to the shelf.

SCONE

LAKE GLENBAWN RECREATION AREA – Large spacious park offers a great family holiday or a day trip, a habitat for over 100 species of birds, so make sure you keep the binoculars handy, one of the best freshwater fishing spots in NSW.

Burning Mountain walk – Imagine a fire sizzling below ground for 5,500 years where the fire moves one metre every year. This remarkable phenomenon is reflected in the plants and animals adapted to life around it.

SANDY HOLLOW

Ellamara – the site of the original settlement of Giants Creek. Includes the historic Post Office and General Store Circa 1860.  Local History Museum, Kitchen Museum, Antiques and Collectables Store, Farm and Local Produce Store.

DENMAN FARMERS MARKET

Held on the 1st Saturday of every month, offers local produce including wine, cheese, fruit and vegetables, preserves, cakes, plants and seedlings. From “Paddock to plate”, meet the producers with tastings available.

The King of the Ranges Stockman’s Challenge Observe the traditional skills of Australian Stockmen and women through an exciting and intense competition over four days.

Highland Games

Held in Aberdeen, a unique display celebrating the region’s Scottish heritage complete with the unveiling of a new Tartan as part of 20 years celebrations. Enjoy Highland and Country Dancing, Pipe Band displays, Strong Man events with the Tartan Warriors to enjoy as well as tug-of-war, three-legged races, and the famed Kilted Dash to participate in.
