Kurri Kurri Wine Tours to Pokolbin
Known as the Towns With Heart, Kurri Kurri and the surrounding areas, Heddon Greta, Neath, Pelaw Main, Stanford Merthyr and Weston make up the seven towns which owe their existence to the discovery and development of the valuable Greta Coal Seam. Originally established to house the coalminers, this heritage is still evident in the architecture, design, civic buildings and cultural facilities throughout the Towns With Heart area.

KURRI KURRI MURALS
showcasing the history and heritage of this region, the Towns With Heart, have over 60 outdoor public artworks on display, providing a visual journey, telling the stories of the people, events and places that shaped the area’s unique character, culture and heritage.
Visitors can pick up a mural map at the Kurri Kurri Visitor Centre for a self-guided tour or groups can undertake a tour by one of our local guides.

Richmond Vale Railway Museum and steam railway
Being the only operating heritage railway north of the Hawkesbury, the RVRM offers visitors a variety of activities to participate in, including unlimited full-sized steam-train rides, miniature train rides, Child-accessible signalling activity and historic films in the mining museum.
Opening on the first three Sundays of each month and every Sunday during School Holidays, RVRM

Edgeworth David Memorial Museum
Operated by the Coalfields Heritage Group, this heritage centre showcases the rich history and heritage the coalfields of the Hunter Valley, through information and materials. Its Library and Archives are recognised as one of the leading history and heritage centres in Australia.
Heddon Greta Drive-In
Take a step back in time and enjoy the nostalgic experience of watching a movie from your own car.
Heddon Greta Drive In screen every Friday and Saturday evening, and 7 nights during school holidays, with 2 films each night which can be seen separately or as a double viewing. With the delightful logo of ” If you don’t like the movie…. Slash the seats “, you are sure to be in for a good night.

Located at Loxford and home of the Kurri Cobras, visitors can enjoy regular club racing events held on Saturdays, or checkout the variety of championship meetings through out the year, including;

KURRI KURRI NOSTALGIA FESTIVAL
If you are a fan of Rock n Roll, Classic Cars, Hot rods, Fashion and the 50’s and 60’s, then this March Festival is for you. With over 500 cars on display for the ‘Show and Shine’, rock n roll dance workshops, talent quests and lots of music, you will need your swing skirts and dancing shoes. Enjoy the markets stalls and side show alley. You can even have your own Vegas wedding renewal.

The Kurri Kurri Community Festival
Held annually in October in Rotary Park, the local townsfolk celebrate the anniversary of their town with a focus on the talents of local schoolchildren. Join in this family friendly, free event featuring entertainment, rides, stalls and lots of activities for the kids.

Town of Murals Art Show
Held each year in September, this community Art Show showcases the talents of hundreds of artists. Attend the opening ceremony, take in the glorious works and be part of the excitement of the prize presentation where a wide range of categories on offer, including a wide variety of art mediums and sections for budding young artists from Pre-school to Year 12.

Kurri Kurri has local options for visitors and residents, while just a short drive down the road is a huge offering in Wine Country, with varying cuisines and atmospheres for dining.
You have a few options for pub fare with Italian at Regal Italian Bistro in the Regal Hotel, and the Heddon-Greta Hotel. The Chelmesford Hotel serves burgers and Schnitzels, while the Abermain Hotel offers a range of pub meals. There are Asian choices with both Thai and Chinese as well as the usual fast food options.
Looking for a more casual experience or earlier in the day feed? Angel’s Place offers a lovely atmosphere and great gluten free options or enjoy freshly baked goods at the Bread Basket.
